Chelsea Lose the club world cup
Binod/16 December 2012- Chelsea new manager Rafael Benitez also failed to win his first trophy as Chelsea manager as his team lost against Brazilian side Corinthians in the Club World Cup final in Japan today. During the first half time, both clubs had tried to add the goal, however; were unable to open the score on the score board. In the second half of the 69 minutes Paolo Guerrero scored the only a goal which is enough to win the Club World Cup. Torres had the ball in the net in injury time when he headed in but his effort was ruled out for offside as Corinthians held on to win the trophy.The Blues become the first team since 2006 to fail to win the Club World Cup after winning the Champions League.
